Writing now and then: strong-arming myself

I have begun to slag on my writing life a bit, because work and other preoccupations have taken over. So, today I have given myself a break, and am trying to force myself to sit and write, finish a story or two, or begin others, and work on a project I have started…..lets us see how this goes.

I have been thinking too much about designer handbags lately (courtesy research for a series of articles), and must begin to wrap my head around more story-like things again. Not that designer handbags are not somewhat in the realm of my dreams anyway.

You have to do this once in a while, or real life gets too much in the way and your characters decide to take a hiatus, instead of buzzing around your head all day.
