Writing regularly is a writer’s best strength, best hope, and indispensable tool. I have NOT been writing regularly, and that’s gotta change, no excuses.

Each year, I make one New Year Resolution, and so far I have kept up with every one of them. So, after much head-scratching and pacing about, I know I have found the best New Year Resolution for me:

I will do a 1000 words of creative writing each day, I will post on all my blogs at least twice a week, and I will keep my work deadlines intact.

Amen.

    Amen, and wow!

  • 1000 words is not unrealistic as long as you remember not to beat yourself up if you fall short now and again because that happens to everyone.

    Happy New Year!

I’l be very happy if I fall short only “now and then”!
A Happy New Year to you too!

Happy writing! I think I should set myself a daily 1000 word goal for myself as well!

Thanks Ted, but you have some awesome goals to catch up with this year!

Worthy resolutions! 1K words can be a challenge, but when they flow, it can feel too restrictive too!

Best of all things in 2009, Damyanti. 🙂

yes, yes, yes, I want my 1000 to become restrictive, Darc!

Thanks, Ceylan, and welcome to my blog.

I was doing 1000 words a day last year, only not regularly…I know it is a challenge, but the way I’m going, a challenge is just what I need to just move ass. I think.

Thanks for your wishes, and I hope you’ll keep visiting! 🙂

1000 words every day seems like a challenge. Maybe that should be your ultimate goal for the year and hope to write every day, maybe by March or something you will meet your 1000 word goal. I just don’t want you to feel let down if you cannot always make that deadline because of all the things we have to do in the day. Best of luck! Keep positive and keep writing!
