Books I’m using for A-Z challenge

Besides my regular writing, which is chugging along, I’m writing 26 flash fiction pieces on 26 days in April.

It is a little crazy, but also challenging and fun.

A book that is helping me a lot is 4 A.M. Breakthrough: Unconventional Writing Exercises That Transform Your Fiction

The thing about these exercises is that they help you hone your craft in specific ways. Introduced to me by a very good writer friend, I feel these are life-savers when in a crunch to come up with ideas.

Has anybody else tried this book, and another one by the same author: The 3 A.M. Epiphany: Uncommon Writing Exercises that Transform Your Fiction?

Haven't heard of these…I'll have to check them out! I don't usually read a lot of writing how-to books…although it certainly couldn't hurt. But, there's so much great advice available on the internet, I tend to look here first.

I haven't but you'll have to let me know how you like them. Stina LIndenblatt just posted about a break out novel work book she says has helped alot too by Donald Maas.
