Wednesday Writing: Stationery Inspiration?

Do you write any part of your stories or novels longhand?

I do, usually the first drafts–and I find that going on a stationery binge, buying notebooks (plain, not lined) and muli-colored pens (gel, not ballpoint and broad, not thin) helps spur my writing.

Is any of you as much in love with colored pens as I am? Do you write on lined notebooks or plain?

Or are you an absolute laptop scribbler?

I'm so glad I;m not the only person who loves writing by hand. Thanks for dropping by, folks, and for sharing your thoughts on writing by hand.

I love writing by hand – I feel most comfortable doing so and I find that my writing flows better .
When I was younger , I always invested in fancy , colourful , patterned writing pads/paper and usually had a stack of them with their matching envelopes .

  • When I'm writing a first draft I always use a fountain pen. Mr A bought it for my birthday last year. It's so tactile and the nib makes a satisfying squeak as it slides across the paper. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to be move creative.

  • I do nearly everything longhand. And the really strange thing? I pop a disc into my laptop to listen to music as I am writing on a pad. Go figure.

  • I've written long hand a few times but I mostly type. I do love gel pens though. So much that I had a ton and they stopped working because I never got around to using enough of them. =S

Ah, the long hand…miss it – used to, a long time ago.

Lovely entry at the Elemental. Do drop in some time to my humble abode, ma'am. 🙂
