The Big Reveal: Theme for My #atozchallenge

Mina Lobo and David Macaulay have come up with The Big Reveal bloghop to celebrate the mother of all bloghops, the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, and as a co-host of said challenge, I’m thrilled to take part.

This bloghop is for participants in the challenge, and if you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for? This Challenge will change your blog for the better, for all years to come. I should know, because that is what the A to Z Challenge did for this blog and Daily (w)rite.

As readers of this blog will tell you, I’m not a prolific blogger, and not that great at commenting either. Apart from the fact that our blogging community is very generous, the fact that I have blog-friends who visit both this blog and Daily (w)rite is due to the A to Z Challenge, and the awesome people I got to know through it.

Which is why, I’m happy to have the opportunity to announce my theme for this year: Self-examination in Writing.

I have a very long way to go as an author, and I believe the deeper I look inside, the closer I’ll get to who I am, as a writer, and as a human being. So, for April, this blog will go inwards. I’ll be wordless , and in silence, let wisdom come to me. I’ll respond to comments, but only in the spirit of encouraging discussion, not adding to it.

I’ll be sharing short phrases I have jotted down over the years, some from Lao Tzu, others from places I don’t remember. These might interest not just writers but folks from all walks of life. I’ll also add a picture of what I think best represents that phrase.

I’ll invite the audience to share their interpretation of the phrase. They’ll become my teachers, and in that way I hope to learn and grow.

Are you participating in the A to Z Challenge this year? Why or Why not? If you are, what is Your #atozchallenge theme ?
