This Tuesday, it is time for the teaser again, and this time the book is something I picked up from India, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here are two teaser sentences from
The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari:
“Alright, the success of happiness is simple: find out what you truly love to do and then direct all of your energy towards doing it. If you study the happiest, healthiest, most satisfied people of our world, you will see that each and every one of them has found a passion in their life, and then spent their days pursuing it.”
Blurb: “This inspiring tale provides a step-by-step approach to living with greater courage, balance, abundance, and joy. A wonderfully crafted fable, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari tells the extraordinary story of Julian Mantle, a lawyer forced to confront the spiritual crisis of his out-of-balance life. On a life-changing odyssey to an ancient culture, he discovers powerful, wise, and practical lessons.”
I needed a little positivity in my life, and a book about a monk seemed like not such a bad bet. I usually steer clear of self-help-spirituality books, and I got this about a year ago. This book now sits in my kitchen, and I read it whenever I’m cooking!
How about you? Would you read a book likeThe Monk Who Sold His Ferrari ?

Great teaser. You sold me. Here is mine: http://reviewbooksandmore.com/2013/09/03/teaser-tuesday-meme-9313/
You’re smack dab on my literary wavelength this week, Damyanti. I just ordered Gao Jianqun’s Tongwan City, hoping for some spiritual guidance. I’m adding this book to the list.
My husband and I made a similar self-assessment almost 10 years ago, and quit corporate life to work from home, even moving back from overseas. I’m aware, though, that our line of work made it possible to do this. I’m always grateful that we had/have this opportunity.
I love the name, that alone might make me pick it up. I try to read one book a quarter out my usual interest and this could be it.
Very true. Nice teaser! Thanks for sharing it.

I love the idea of finding one’s passion and pursuing it. Thanks for sharing…and here’s MY TUESDAY MEMES POST
I’m not a big fan of self-help books but can’t disagree with the quote you used for your TT
Very true! Life is too short, not to go after what you truly want.
I like that idea about just doing what you like to do all the time, but it sounds a bit unrealistic. Life happens, you know? I do find it interesting that you still read it when you’re cooking!

This book sounds very positive.
I’d have trouble fitting it in because my TBR shelf is so full, but the teaser you’ve used has definitely interested me.
