Having moved to my own domain this month, I’m doing a fair amount of tweaking on my blog. I’m going to talk today about using Feedly for following blogs and commenting, but please bear with me.
One of the major problems I feel I’m going to face during the A to Z Challenge this year (Sign up if you haven’t yet, won’t you?) is that I don’t have a site on Blogspot any more, and a lot of my friends are on that platform. Ever since Google discontinued Friendconnect, it’s been hard to keep track of blogs I want to follow, and harder still to comment on them.
I use Feedly now, and for those of you not logged into WordPress at the moment, you might see a Feedly subscribe button on the sidebar. Feedly is great if you want to follow blogs and comment on them. If you run a Blogger site, could you get a similar button for your blogs, so I can easily follow you? And pretty please, allow comments with Name and URL.
In the spirit of connections, all of us who comment and chat at this space could find each other on other social media as well. Some of you I already chat with on Twitter and Facebook, but others, not so much. A lot of us are on G+ too, and on Goodreads. Would like to connect with you on any and all of the following social media profiles: Facebook: Twitter: Goodreads: Google+ : Pinterest : Instagram
If you want me to follow you, please leave your details in the comments. And while everyone is putting up their social media links, we can all give each other some social media love ? Let’s strengthen a few blog friendships before we embark on April and the A to Z Challenge!
How do you straddle commenting between various platforms? Would you use Feedly for following blogs and commenting? To those interested in the “Follows”: What social media are you on? Am I already following you? If not, won’t you leave me your deets?
