Yesterday, I did some writing at the workshop, (600 words), but none when I got back. Life got the better of me.
Today, through a splitting headache, I managed about 1500 words. My writing resolution is up in the air…I need to get some consistency here.
Time for bed, I really do no want my head in two pieces tomorrow….that is what it feels like right now.
(Word count: 1500 words)
I have to say that I tend to agree with anniegirl1138. Setting a word could goal is great but if you make it for the week or even for every three days, it might give you a break when you feel lousy.
For me, the muse is either there… or out having coffee or something. Forcing is just doesn’t work well in my particular case. That, and if I’m on a roll, I tend to be good for 3000 or so.

Well done, Damyanti! Great job getting that word count out of yourself, despite the headache.
Feel better.
As far as word count goes, I don’t know that a daily count is as important as having something to show at the end of a week. I mean when I was teaching, I had kick ass days and others where next to nothing meaningful occurred, but if I got to where I wanted to be by the end the week or two – whatever the boundaries where that I set for the kids learning – than it was all good.
