Summer is celebrating her 29th Birthday with the New Creation Blogfest…Happy Birthday, Summer!

The rules for this blogfest are as follows:

1)Pick one ending sentence from last years stories, your favorite one that you wrote. (Only one, and yes it has to be an ending sentence)

2) Write one brand new starting sentence for a story you have been thinking about, or something off the top of your head. But it must be your first sentence. (Yes only one, and yes it must be new.)

My Last sentence from the short story “Peeping Toe” which was anthlogized last year:

As I walk down the station with Alex, I wonder if he would paint his toenails pink, just to please me. In case that makes you curious, the story was first published online here.
The first sentence of a new story I’m working on now:
A starfish has two bellies.All I can tell you right now is that the story is not about starfish.
Will go on a round now and check all the intriguing sentences that I’m sure have been put up. And Summer, Thanks for making this blogfest so easy….and for coming back to my blog though I was MIA for a while! Wish you many many Happy Retuns of the day!!

  • I hope that Alex doesn't paint his toenails at all, but that's just me. Thanks for sharing your sentences.

    I joined into this blogfest late, but I'd love to know what you think of my entry.

  • CUTE!!!!

    Darn! Too bad I missed this Blogfest. It sounds like sooo much fun.

    *sigh*

    ~Elizabeth 🙂

    Stopping by for the blogfest and enjoying everyone's sentences. Your ending sentence sounds like the end of a romance and the beginning of a relationship so could be the beginning of a new book! The other one– leaves you wondering especially since you said it wasn't about starfish.

  • Thanks for posting. I would happily read about Alex – somehow I think he would. As for the starfish I wonder where that opening will lead us. I would definitely want to read on.

  • Damyanti says:

    @Ellie, do hop over and read it. When it was read to an audience in Singapore, they guffawed and laughed!

    The second one is a story about murder…and starfish do have two stomachs, some species even more.

    @Margo, thanks for reading the story 🙂 and welcome to my blog!

    @Tony, you're my dream reader. You got from it exactly what I'd intended. Should we try Beta reading, check if I'm as good a reader for you as you are for me? Exchange stuff?

    @strugglingwriter, I have finished the first draft of starfish has two bellies, but it needs a lot of work!

    @PkHrezo, nice to meet you too! Welcome to my blog, and thanks for the follow!

    @Summer Ross You're fairy welcome 😀

    @Elena Thanks!

    @Jules, Wow! I didn't till I looked it up!

    @Francine So nice to see you again. Starfish has two bellies is a murder story set in an aquarium 🙂

    @Madeleine thanks, and welcome to my blog!

    @ Wendy: I'm so tempted to make it my title as well. But the story goes a little different….sigh

    @Mara Nash, I've put up the link for one. The other one is WIP. Welcome to my blog 🙂

    @February Grace, @gideon86, Thanks, and welcome to my blog 🙂

    @gideon86, the MC is a man, not a woman. They're gay 😀

    @Old Kitty Welcome, and thanks for such a lovely comment. Do let me know what you think once you've read the story. And yes, starfish really have two bellies 🙂

    Hi

    I've just popped over from Summer's blogfest!

    Your last sentence – I loved this!!! I am so bookmarking your story to print and read (it's ok, I much prefer reading stories on paper!)

    Your first sentence – Of course it is not a story about starfish!! But I never knew it had two bellies!! Really?

    Loved your entries!! They're about the most original I've read so far and you are no 27 in Summer's list!!

    Thank you! Take care

    The first one made me laugh. I always amazes me the things girls want their guys to do.

    The second on is very intriguing,

    Okay, I want to read both now. Those are such inventive lines!

    I just read the whole story and it's wonderful. You took me to a place I've never been to and I could see it and feel it. I enjoyed the gentle suspense and the ending. Excellent.

  • Margo Benson says:

    Wonderful sentences, I had to read your 'Peeping Toe' which I loved. Great writing! Your opening sentence definately leaves me wanting more.

    I'm glad you've provided a link for the online story – your last sentence definitely left intrigued. I shall pop over and read after work.

    Your new first sentence made me laugh, though I'm not sure whether it is meant to or not. I'm fascinated to learn more.

    Great lines.
