Awards Season: Forwarding the Good Cheer

Writing is about being alone, but it is also about community.
Other than the wonderful gang of writers in the city I live in, I also love the super-friendly, supportive bunch I interact with in Bloggiland.
Some of them, D.P. King at Cosmic Laire and Madeline at Capricious Existence to be precise, have given Amlokiblogs the Stylish Blogger Award. Thanks guys 🙂
The rules of this Award are:
1. Thank and link back to the person who award
ed you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 7 recently discovered great bloggers.
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award.
And the award goes to:

J.L. Campbell at The Character Depot

T. C. Mckee at T.C. Mckee
Elaine AM Smith at Wordsmithing
Rachna Chabaria at Rachna’s Scriptorium
Shallee McArthur at Life, the Universe and Writing
Janna T at Janna T Write’s Blog
Donea Lee at Queen of Procrastination
All you people rock, and I’m going to hop across and leave you a comment about the award.
Now comes the difficult part, sharing 7 things about myself:
I’m a crazy reader, I read till I drop, and I get cranky if kept away from books.
I’m not friends with the television.
I’m a gypsy at heart, I want to travel all the time.
I hate dishwashing and laundry, love cooking.
I love gardening, but don’t have a garden, only a few plants.
I like silence while writing.
I refresh my blog every once in a while to check if I got comments. (hint!!)
Phew, that was hard!
I need to relax. It is Saramago to the rescue, and a few laughs.
Happy writing, folks!

  • I understand the cranky if I'm kept away from books: no matter how late it is I won't sleep unless I've read – at least a little of – something. 😉

thank you for this award. I posted mine a few days ago. Cheers 🙂

Ah, thank you for the award! You're too sweet ~ 🙂 Love your list of 7 – as I identify with quite a few. If I was independently wealthy, ALL I would do is travel! (oh, wait. And write, of course) And I love to cook as long as I've got someone else there to clean up my mess. Cleaning, schmleaning… :p Thanks, again!

@Janna T, you're welcome, and I love your blog. Thanks for the comment!

    @Madeline, I'm completely un-musical, lol

@MPax, we could exchange chores if we did not live on opposite sides of the world 🙂

@Lynda, thanks! Am so happy to have a chore soul-mate! Wait..did I say that right?

    @J.L, you're welcome!

@T C Mckee, You're welcome, and look forward to your posts!

Yay! Thanks for the award! I so appreciate it.

  • Thanks for the award, Damyanti! Much appreciated.

I like writing in silence too…except when I have CSI, NCIS or Law & Order going in the background. lol

  • Lynda Young says:

Congrats on your award. I hate dishwashing and laundry and love cooking too! 🙂

  • M Pax says:

Congrats on the award. Dishwashing and laundry are probably the only chores I don't mind much.

  • Madeline says:

Interesting to learn about you! I love to travel too, but I never get very far away from home…And you don't listen to any music when you write? Complete silence? Heh heh, I always listen to music. 😀

  • JannaTWrites says:

I enjoyed finding out seven things about you. I chuckled at the comments hint. I catch on fast and am happy to give you a comment to read!

I've got to tell you, I was shocked to see my blog in the list – thank you so much. That was so sweet 🙂
