Andrew Leon, Matthew MacNish, and Alex J. Cavanaugh are hosting the I Miss You Blogfest which is one of the coolest Alex has hosted in my opinion, one about the bloggers we really miss…
and the ones we would really miss!
Here’s their requirement:
“Do you have a couple blogger buddies who aren’t posting as often? Those
who’ve pulled back and seem absent from the blogging world? Do you have
blogger buddies you are grateful they are still around and would miss if
they vanished? Now is your chance to show your appreciation and
spotlight them!
List one to three bloggers you really miss and one to
three bloggers you would miss if they stopped blogging. Then go leave a
comment on those blogs. Our blogger friends are special – time to let them know!
“
I couldn’t agree more.
So here are some of my ‘blogging buddies I would miss‘ picks: (I have a ton more, but we’re only allowed between 1 and 3)
Corinne OFlynn had gone on a hiatus, and recently came back. I missed her posts, because through Triberr.com, I used to read her regularly — always inspiring and informative. I’ve learned a lot from her blog. Don’t think I ever told her I love her blog, but now I can say it — I’m thrilled she’s out of her hiatus, and back in circulation!
IndigoBunting is one of those people who should blog more often, because though she is a copyeditor, she has one cool writer’s voice. I’ve been telling her that for the 5 years I’ve known her — maybe I’ll make an impression, in oh, I don’t know, another 20 ? I hope she takes up fiction some day — and in the meanwhile, I hope she never stops blogging!
Marian Allen is a friend who I’ve lost touch with for a bit — I’ve had a bad blogging year, lost touch with a lot of good friends — but she’s a blogging buddy I’d dearly miss if she decided to unplug from the internet some day.
Now for the one blog buddy I totally miss:
Rick Mobbs became an inspiration with his art, and if you see the The Storybook Collaborative you’ll know why. He has a busy life with a thriving family, a career on Hollywood sets, but every once in a while, I wish he would make an appearance, and this time, stay for good.
I wish I could write a post one mile long, but for now, this would have to do.
I would dearly miss all the folks who regularly show up and drop me a comment– if they decide to ignore me — because without readers, a blog doesn’t exist. Yes, I believe that.

Thanks everyone, for showing up on this page, and thank you Andrew Leon, Matthew MacNish, and Alex J. Cavanaugh for hosting the I Miss You Blogfest!
So many great bloggers and such touching posts in this blogfest.
I'm new here, so… hello! I see some new (to me) blogs that I must go check out as well. Cheers to good writing!
Glad you mentioned Indigo Bunting. Her blogs cheer me up. Her writing is so fresh.
Thank you for sharing, such a wonderful list!
It has been such a wonderful blogfest 😀
Ella, yes it has been such a beautiful blogfest. Am still visiting some folks!
Oh, I love your choices~ I'm going to go visit!
Thank you for sharing~
I look forward to visiting you and other blogs more
often! This fest is making me see all the talent I am missing!
Some days I think I need to pick one out of my three passions,
art, poetry and writing, but I can't~
It would make blogging easier ;D

the descriptions of your blog friends was so sweet! i need to check them out!
Tara, that's cos they're all sweet people!
It's so hard when a blogger you enjoy or have become friends with stops blogging for whatever reason. Sort of like a family member or your best friend moving away.
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too, Carol!
Blogland feels like a small world, yet there are still so many bloggers I dont know. This has been great!
It has, and welcome to my blog, Joylene!
Aww! This has been such a nice blogfest. 🙂
Yep, its been all hugs and emotion and chocolate, and who doesn't love those?
Ohhhhhh, thank you SO MUCH! I've been very remiss in not commenting. I read your blogs all the time, but don't drop a note to let you know. Thank you for remembering me. 🙂 HUGS!!!
MA
Marian, that's how it is with friends, we never Really lose touch. Hugs, dear woman, you make my blog-world a better place!
One of the writers/bloggers I admired most picked me? I am so flattered! And maybe this will be just the push I need. I wish I was blogging more, no question about it. I have to remind myself that I should write even when I think I have nothing to say. All of us are too busy. I need to get beyond that.
Thank you, thank you, inspirational Damyanti!
K, yes, I picked you — because I think you have a better voice than a load of writers I know. I'm hoping this will work, and I can read you more often 🙂
This is a great opportunity to reconnect with people we've lost touch with. Nice to see you again Damyanti! Julie
Nice to see you again, too, Julie!
Damyanti – you honor me today and I am so grateful for the mention. Like you said, without readers a blog wouldn't exist. You've totally pumped me up. What a fabulous blogfest. I hope it comes around again because I, too, would be able to list many blogs I miss and would miss!
Humbly,
Corinne
Corinne, the pleasure was mine. I'm thrilled you broke your hiatus 🙂
I had that feeling of including everyone who I would miss, too! I followed the rules and listed three plus honorable mentions! There's a lot of people I would miss if they stopped blogging. They make the world a better place to be in.
I feel like I've known all my bloggy friends for AGES when I've only known them for EIGHT MONTHS! What a small world it is! I'm glad I've been able to connect with so many people and make so many friends! Don't know what I would do without you, guys! You're so incredible! 🙂
Imagine what it feels like to me, after five years 🙂
Corinne is back? Awesome!
Great choices for the blogfest.
Goodness, I am all misty. Thank you Golden Eagle! Yes, I am back. 🙂
I know that feeling of wanting to include everyone in the list of who I'd miss if they stopped blogging.
Yep, my list goes on and on! I'd definitely miss you, Lynda!
Readers do make us bloggers feel special. We NEED each other. I'm going to hop over to some of those blogs you mentioned. Thanks for sharing.
Do check them out…you won't be disappointed!
Bloggyland is full of so many great people and talents. I'd miss you, Damyanti. 🙂
And me, you, Mary!
Always nice to learn about new (to me) blogs.
Agree. I'm always amazed at the number of great blogs out there I don't about.
Great picks!
Thanks Sherry, for stopping by.
That's the hardest part about this blogfest. How do you mention everyone without going on and on forever!?!
I did want to go on forever!
Getting a chance to find out about so many different blogs because of this blogfest.
Yep, that's the best part about this blogfest I think!
I agree that this is a great blogfest. It's good to be able to tell those we love that we do, and that we'd miss them. I've been pretty absent this year, and am just glad that a few folks still stop in…

Me, too, I'm busy being grateful!
Hugs and chocolate to you! Nice post!
Shelly
I like that you send me hugs and chocolates every time you stop by! 🙂
Thanks for the visit and the comment. It is amazing how quickly one misses regular bloggers when they don't comment or blog. It is even worse when you have no email address to contact them. Take care and have a good weekend. Diane
You have a great weekend as well, Diane!
This is such a great blogfest! Picking is impossible – and bittersweet as we remember some who won't be coming back. Happily, others that we missed have since reappeared. 🙂
Picking was the hardest thing!
I know Marian!
Thanks for participating in our blogfest.
Thanks for organizing it, Alex!
Hi Damyanti .. I thought I followed you .. but now I do!! Thanks for coming over – some newbies here I don't recognise – I'll need to get out a bit more .. like you I could write a mile long post – well no .. I don't have that many followers – that might match Alex' list ..
Hope you can have an easier year next year .. cheers Hilary
Thanks, Hilary — I hope my coming year is better than this one, too.
Thanks for stopping by, you have some great picks on your list as well.
Thanks, Rhonda! The hardest part was limiting the number of bloggers I could mention!
