Now that would be a strange things for a book to do, but my book did just that.
I planned it for about 5 months. Been writing it for the last 10 months or so. And now, all of a sudden it is 74, 000 words, and I’m working on the 29th chapter.
I’d gotten so used to this lifestyle: wake up, tea, chores, writing (or tear my hair, depending), tea, chores, blogging, writing, Twitter/Facebook, crying (or smiling, depending), and off to bed.
I have about 4 more chapters to go, and unless the book is capable of not only sneaking up but also biting me in the ass, I should be done by March.
What will I do with myself afterward? (Editing, of course, but I don’t want to think about that. Yet. That means I’ll have a completed draft. Say what??)
Is this how writing a first novel feels like?
In other news, the A to Z Challenge host team is looking for volunteers.
And if you’re a writer with a book title that starts with the letters J, K, Q or Y, check out this post to have your book excerpt featured.
