KL Noir: Blue

One of the joys of the writing life is to see your work in print.

It isn’t really my greatest joy, because that really comes from finishing a story, or from going back and reading an old story and going, Ok, that’s not too bad.

But I also understand that part of being a writer is to reach readers, to have a reader imagine your story in their heads.

In the past few months, I saw bits and pieces of my writing in books and journals:

Talking about Rape in When Women Waken

An Orchestrated Ending in KL Noir : Blue ,which is an anthology of noir stories set in Malaysia. Love that a some of the other contributors are well known names in the current Malaysian crop of writers.

Extinguished and Extinct, An Anthology of things that no longer exist
Extinguished and Extinct

Fire, Extinguished in Extinguished and Extinct, an anthology by Twelve Winters Press, USA, in which the other contributors range from PEN award winners, lecturers and editors, professors of creative writing to those with at least an MFA. I have the distinct suspicion that my story was chosen merely for its title.
