How long have we known each other? 10th Anniversary post! #blogging

By 08/01/2018January 16th, 2018blogging
anniversary

anniversaryThis blog has been around for ten years, and as on each year, it’s time for the customary anniversary post.

I can’t believe it–feels like I made the first post yesterday. But I made the first post in 2008, and since then, I’ve stayed in Kuala lumpur and back again in Singapore. I’ve also made a large number of online friends.

An online friendship is different from a real-life one, but in some cases, it can be equally strong. I realized just how strong when two of the bloggers I cherished, passed on. The grieving was real.

It has made me hold all of you a little bit closer to my heart, to try and respond to as many comments as I can, and visit your blogs as often as possible (a mammoth task I fail at, quite often).

I’ve learned to forgive myself a little, because I’ve come to accept I’m a puny thing.  During a given day, my writing and family take up most of my time. Add reading to that, and blogging slips down the list.

But I can’t ever truly let go, and even when on an offline break, like last December, I sneaked a look at a few posts once or twice a week. I make no excuses: blogging and blog-friends are an addiction–one that has enriched my life in more ways than I can count. Some of you have helped me with my writing, others with your encouraging comments at low ebbs of my life. You’ve helped me arrange blog events, and some of you I’ve met in real life.

My blog has gone on for ten years thanks to all of you, because you stop by with your likes and comments, because you share the posts on social media.

For my tenth blog anniversary, I’d love to hear a line or two from you.

Anything at all about how we met, or what you like or dislike about this space, how long you yourself have been blogging, or which posts of yours you think I should read.

From the comments on this post, I’ll choose 10 names at random from those who have commented on my blog before. I’ll give away 10 books by various authors: established, and new. Physical copies, anywhere in the world, as long as you’re willing to provide me with an address. This isn’t a ‘marketing’ sort of giveaway with strings attached– just a celebration of reading, of how much I appreciate your presence on my blog, and of how wonderful this site has been for me.

So, how long have you been blogging? What do you like/ dislike about this blog? When do you think we first met online? What do you usually do for your blog anniversary? What advice would you like to share with me for my blogging and writing journey ahead?

Thank you for visiting JanBeek so I could find you. I didn’t know about your blog. It’s great to find another daily blogger who tries to share wisdom and link others in love. Congratulations on your 11th anniversary. I’ve been blogging for almost 6 years -and just recently committed to daily posting. It’s fun to see your world-wide community. You’re obviously doing something right!

  • Sharukh Bamboat says:

Congratulations, Damyanti. Errr..seems like I am late at the party, but nevertheless. Personally, I feel this is a great milestone to achieve. So, what was the reason that pushed you to start your own blog back then? Like for me, I stepped in for writing because of money. Writing was never on my mind, but I thought it is a great way to earn income and plus communicate creatively. Were you writing offline before 2008? I would love to know your backstory because in many ways you inspired me to push the envelope.

  • Happy Anniversary!. I’ve only been blogging for four years and you were one of the first writers I connected with. Believe me you have me beat with your faithful writing. Your blog is uplifting and educational Damyanti – your popularity is well deserved!

  • Simon says:

10 years is pretty amazing! When it gets to about April this year I will have had a blog for five years. Well done and keep going 🙂

  • Heidi Love says:

What a walk down memory lane! We met on Women Writers, Women Books in July of this year. I had just launched my blog, knew nothing about google groups or algorithms, and you’ve set me straight. What I love about this space is the gentle inspiration and guidance you offer through tips and interviews. To quote Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

  • I can’t even remember when, where, or how we met – isn’t that odd? I feel like it’s been a good while, though, and this post resonates with me (though I’ve been blogging – though the name of the blog and its location have changed many times – since 1998 or 1999). OMG. That’s 20 years, for me, if the former is true. What year did Blogger go beta? What year was a mentioned in the HindustanTimes as a “veteran blogger”? (I’m pretty sure it was my first-ever post that was quoted, along with whatever definition I’d made up to explain blogging to myself and anyone who might randomly stumble onto my blog! LOL Must’ve sounded convincing, at the time!)

  • curtisbausse says:

A blog that’s inspiring and resourceful – like the person behind it, methinks! Well done, Damyanti.

  • Ten years – my awed admiration! Thank you for all sorts of books and writers, but especially introducing me to Project Why – a very special community in India.

  • First of all, many congratulations, Damyanti! Ten years seems like an eternity in blogland, so I marvel once again at your persistence and talent. I cannot remember how I first came to follow your blog, but you were well-established by the time I found you online; we might have met first on Twitter, as I’ve been on there longer than I have blogged through WordPress (Jan. 2014 was my current blog’s birth). There’s truly nothing I dislike about your blog; in fact, I’ve used it as a model for success (in both blogging and fiction-writing), though I am not able to comment nearly as often as I’d like on Daily (w)rite. I love the interviews aspect and when you share your own stories. Of course, We are the World is a favorite of mine, too, because I need good news in my life. If I were in a position to give you advice (ha!, that’ll be the day), it would be to continue to devote yourself obviously to your family, but to your writing as well. Blogging, in my mind, is ancillary to your fiction (but perhaps this view is why I’m not a successful blogger, and you are). In any case, many good wishes to you moving forward, Damyanti. I’m sure you’ll continue to succeed in whatever you choose to do! [and sorry for the long-winded comment]

  • Lensq says:

Congratulations! 10 years is really a long time !

  • Happy 10 year anniversary Damyanti! It is a wonderful world, isn’t it? I completed 10 years of blogging in October last year and can identify with what you’re saying. I don’t know where I’d be without blogging.

  • The Crown ? says:

Congratulations and continue to charm us for many more years ahead??

  • Ten years of blogging? That’s amazing!
    We met about 6 or 7 years ago… I think…
I fell in love with your powerful writing voice, and ‘stalked’ your amazing flash fiction through about 3 or 4 of the annual A to Z Challenges.
I remember the days of Amlokiblogs… the Rule Of Three Blogfest… your request for lines/phrases/picture prompts as inspiration to build flash fiction pieces.
There was also the sporadic exchange of handwritten letters (an activity I long to resume but there never seems to be enough time in a 24 hour day *sigh*), and I have a pack of wonderful postcards too!
    …fast forward to 2017 and #WATWB Blogfest. So it’s been a while…
Thank you for the friendship, Damyanti!

I really enjoy your insightful and thought-provoking posts so keep on blogging!
    Happy Blog-O-Versary!

  • I found you today through Instagram and look forward to reading future blogs. I admire the way you appreciate your readers.

  • Congratulations! I’ve enjoyed so many of your posts.

  • dweezer19 says:

I think we met four years ago. Time is so swift!

  • Ten years of blogging is not an easy task, my heartiest congratulations to you, many more years ahead to come, wish you all the best for your future post and yes i must admit that i have learnt lots of things from your posts.

  • Library Staff says:

Congratulations on ten years of blogging Damyanti. I hope you keep writing for another ten years, I always enjoy reading your blog. I would also like to thank you for visiting my blog, Green Librarian.

  • Shailaja V says:

Many congratulations, D 🙂 I think we met during the A-Z challenge of 2014 if I am not mistaken and how far we’ve come since. Now a part of BAR as well.

I’ve enjoyed reading your writing- fiction and non-fiction- and admired the way you’ve gone on to win laurels as a writer. Many congratulations and may you blog for another 10 years to come 🙂

  • Shilpa Gupte says:

Congratulations, Damyanti….for your blog’s 10th anniversary! Doing it here, again! 😛
As I said, I came across your blog through BAR. And, it was, and always is, an enriching experience. Your writing inspires me in many ways. And, every time I read your posts, I wish I could write like you do!
WIsh you the best, dear! <3 And, here's to many more anniversaries!

  • Vaibhav says:

Congratulation for completing 10 years. I just saw your blog and really like few articles. Will read rest of the articles soon. I am running a website featuring all kind of artists and writers. It will be great if you’d like to share your post for the website as a guest blogger.
    🙂

    Thanks and Regards

  • macjam47 says:

I think I’ve been blogging for nearly five years now. The most wonderful and unexpected benefit to blogging for me was “meeting” so many talented and engaging bloggers and the friendships that have been formed as a result. We met as a result of my participation in the A to Z and your friendship has been so enriching. Love and hugs to you, Damyanti.

  • mcclellanelias says:

As I inch ever closer to dipping toe in the blog pool, I aspire to the quality of material and the commitment to excellence that you bring to your blog. Or, in the words of my (woefully immature) people–I want to be just like you when I grow up.

  • I’m almost at 10 years too! How did that happen? Honestly, I can’t remember when we met, but I feel the same way you do about the recent losses in the blogging world. The hard part is not finding out right away when someone just disappears. Just because we don’t chat face to face doesn’t mean the loss is any less a loss.

  • TheLastWord says:

    Wow! Ten years!

I’m not quite sure how we met, either through Indiblogger or via mutual blogging friends. I had a stop-start beginning with blogging in 2008 or 2009, so I’m getting up to 10 myself in age. My big blogging years were 2012-2016. I kind of dropped off in 2016-2017 as I concentrated on my book. Now that’s done and dusted, it’s time to start the next.

I stopped reading a lot of blogs in the 2016/17. Also a lot of blogger friends I had made seemed to have dropped off as well and I miss the chatter.

  • Glynis Jolly says:

    Happy 10th!

  • Kala Ravi says:

Hey Damyanti! Congrats on completing 10 amazing years of blogging! Your posts have brought so much meaning, entertainment, information, happiness and sometimes questioned the mind through the years. I have known you since the AtoZ 2016 and I have followed your writings ever since. Wish you loads more of meaningful blogging in the coming years.

  • Natasha says:

It sure has been one beautiful journey for you Damayanti with the innumerable feathers on your cap.
It amazes me no end how you manage to read so many blog and take time to comment and like them. It’s heart warming to see you are a regular on my blog too.
I’m barely a year old in the blogging world and celebrated my first blog anniversary in December. Though I have been writing for as long as I can remember.
All I can say about you is keep inspiring us with your zeal and enthusiasm and impeccable writing.
More power to you. Happy tidings always.

  • Congratulations on ten years! That’s such a huge accomplishment! I’ve been blogging for 4+ years and still enjoying it immensely. The blogging community is one of the reasons why it’s been so enjoyable, because it includes people like you 🙂 I’ve seen the encouraging and supportive comments you leave on other people’s blogs and I know that it makes a world of difference to folks out there in the blogosphere. Here’s to ten more years.

  • Kim M Watt says:

Happy tenth blogging birthday! That’s wonderful! I’m quite the newbie to blogging, but the one thing I have discovered in the last couple of years is that you’re quite right – our online friendships can be just as strong as our offline ones, if not more so. There are some wonderful, supportive people out there.

I can’t remember which FB group we met in, but I’m so impressed by the work you put in keeping the Google+ group going. Thank you so much!

  • Nilanjana Bose says:

Congratulations on the tenth! That is a wonderful achievement! I think I came across your blog through the Indiblogger platform and I’m so glad I did. You are an amazing, powerful writer. Two of your posts I read years ago still remain with me – a woman describing her husband being killed by a predator, and the WEP post, ‘the red eyes of the cars followed her all the way home.’

I am rubbish at commenting, but it’s always a pleasure to read your posts. Thank you for all you write and all you do.

    Best wishes always,
    Nilanjana.

  • jazzytower says:

Congratulations on your 10 year anniversay!!! And thanks for your ongoing support.

    Pat

  • Rajlakshmi says:

I am going to complete 10 years too. But no where near as popular as you. I remember coming across your blog through a to z challenge and was absolutely swept away by your story telling. I would definitely love to read more stories from you. I am surpised how you don’t have a book series and tours already. I don’t do much on my bloganniversary. ? I often forget and remember after a month.
    Congratulationson reaching the milestone ?

  • Liesbet says:

What a beautiful celebration, Damyanti! Congratulations on your tenth blogging anniversary – quite the feat and joy! I started my first “blog” in 2007, when my husband and I left on a full-time sailing journey that was open-ended. I hesitate calling it a blog, because its purpose was to share our experiences, adventures and locations with friends and family. Comments? Likes? What was that? 🙂

When the sailing adventure came to an end after eight years, I started my Roaming About blog. Likes? Yay! Comments? Ten-fold yays! That blog is now in its third year and – just like you – I love the interactions and friendships created. I have seen your name float around different (writing) blogs a lot, before I discovered your blog. The reason of starting to read your posts and guest posts happened after you started following my blog. Thank you so much for that, the likes, and the comments.

Cheers to blogging friendships! Wishing you a lot of writing, reading and quality family time in 2018!!

  • bikerchick57 says:

Happy 10th anniversary Damyanti! What an awesome accomplishment!

I’m not sure how long we’ve known each other through blogging. Has it been two years? Three? Longer? I guess it doesn’t matter because I consider you part of a special group of bloggers I consider friends. I’ve met some very wonderful people through blogging and, of course, you are one of those people.

I’m coming up on five years blogging in March and it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. I suppose I’ll have to blog about it and buy myself a hunk of wood. :-p

I wouldn’t change anything about your blog and as far as advice on your writing – KEEP GOING. Don’t quit. Don’t give up. Write with enthusiasm and inspiration and a great supply of dark chocolate on hand. Congrats again, Damyanti, it’s been quite the ride.

  • Hi – great post … especially because I don’t actually recall when I started the wordpress blog … and didn’t figure out how to post so blogs would be seen until embarrassingly a year ago. Ahem. We’ve met here on WordPress, and your words are always so encouraging. 🙂 Glad to be part of the tribe! I think I have um, 2 followers and you are one!

  • DJ Cockburn says:

Not sure how long we’ve known each other, but I’ve come to appreciate your posts and your comments on my posts. Please don’t feel you absolutely have to keep up with absolutely everything. Reading blogs is supposed to be a pleasure, not a duty.

  • xhobdo says:

Many many Congratulations 🙂 Keep blogging.
    Best wishes 2018.

  • J.R.Bee says:

Congratulations on making it a whole decade!

  • arlene says:

congratulations Damyanti. You’ve gone a long way. and you have lots of followers.

  • I think I’ve been blogging for about 4 years. If I seem indecisive, I was silent for a year for reasons I can’t disclose.
You and I met about 2 years ago. I think you found me, something I find wondrous – thank you.
I like the tone of this blog – helpful and positive and practical.
I can’t offer you advice – you’re way ahead of me. I’m still listening and reading.
Happy 10 years to you – you’ve been blogging since before I even knew what a blog was. This is quite a milestone and you should be proud.

  • Lata Sunil says:

Happy Anniversary to Daily Write. 10 years is a milestone. I literally stumbled upon blogging about 4 years ago. And blogging has opened up a world of writing for me. I discovered many friends who share the same passion. I think I discovered your blog when I was searching for writing tips or something or it was through Indiblogger. I cannot remember. But I surely like coming back for more. Also, I am loving the recent author interview series you are having.

  • magiceye says:

    Happy 10th blogversary!

Feels like I have know you forever! 🙂

  • Sherri Priestman says:

Big respect for keeping at this for ten years! Hope to meet you soon for a coffee.

From Gretchen’s friend and your fellow blogger, Sherri ❤️

  • jmh says:

Congratulations on your anniversary. Ten years is impressive.

I’m sorry you lost two blogging friends. The friendships we make online are certainly real, and often our connections online can solidify a friendship when we connect with someone at an event but otherwise wouldn’t bump into them again. I was lucky enough to meet a blogging friend from the IWSG last year, and he was just as great in person as he is online.

I love how blogging connects me with readers and other likeminded souls, but I hate how much work it is. 🙂

  • Parul Thakur says:

    Happy 10th, Damyanti! That’s a big one.
In close to 10 days, I will complete my 5 years in the blogging world and like you home, work, blogging, reading and photography takes my time. But what’s precious is the online connections I have made. Friends and readers who I value.
Coming to your questions – I think it was a A to Z where I first stumbled on your blog and I have always loved your writing, thoughts and associations. You inspire! My advice for you would be to continue blogging and writing. You are touching lives in some way or the other. However puny we may be, the part of touching lives is big. 🙂 Hugs!

  • Neelima says:

Congratulations Damyanti! Ten years is a colossal achievement as ten years means so many changes and to be consistent in your output in spite of the changes is commendable. I’ve been reading your blog for a very, very long time and I’ve enjoyed your stories, your thoughts, the delightful interviews you do. Thank you for all the work you’ve put into Daily (w)rite…..and wish your blog many many more years of cyberjoy:)

  • Alison Juste says:

Happy birthday blog! Did you blow out your candles!? Nearly in middle school, what a feat! 😉
I’m very impressed you haven’t missed an anniversary post, and ashamed that I missed mine last year (a circumstance dictated ‘choice’).
I haven’t blogged in way too long, but I seem to remember you were one of the first to follow my blog and I always enjoy reading your posts. 🙂 All the best!

  • cynthiamvoss says:

Congrats on 10 years! I have enjoyed your blog and reading your interviews with writers, writing advice, and journey. I think we met more than 3 years ago. I’m still struggling to write and blog consistently, but I am always happy when I come back to it. Best wishes to you!

  • datmama4 says:

Happy tenth anniversary! That’s a great accomplishment to be celebrating. I’ll be completing my fifth year of blogging in just a few short months, and it feels like it’s gone by in a flash . . . although I had to take a break right in the middle of it and finally felt like myself when I was able to get back to it.

I sort of met you early on in my blogging through various groups—perhaps the A to Z Challenge—but didn’t get to know you better until this past year. I remember thinking, even back then, that you were wonderfully attentive to sharing posts of others, including mine, and seemed to be “everywhere” with an encouraging word.

I like pretty much everything you’ve written here. You already know you’ve inspired me to read a poem each day (just started last week) because of your example and your well-rounded worldview, but I think one of the things I like the most about your blog is that you encourage others to be positive and to spread the positivity. Joining the #WATWB has been a joy for me, and I’ve gotten to know so many other bloggers who would rather post good news than spread vicious gossip.

Your focus always seems to be to promote others, to help others better themselves, and to encourage exploration by learning. What an incredible gift to have.

  • Christy B says:

Wow, congratulations on 10 years! That is huge and to be commended 🙂 It is a pleasure to follow your blog and read your insights. Here’s to another great year of writing for you.

  • tric says:

Ten years is a major achievement well done you. I’ve been around the block almost five years and have no idea when we first met.
Here’s to another ten for you and the making of many more online friends. Like you I’ve made wonderful ‘real’ friends online. It can be difficult to keep up with all blogs but it’s fun trying!
    Congratulations again.

  • asteraubrey says:

Oh my goodness! Congratulations Dee :)! This is such a huge accomplishment and I am so happy for you!

  • simonfalk28 says:

Happy anniversary, Damyanti. It’s so nice of you to share it with us. I started on WordPress in September 2013 and feels like I was following you soon after that. Initially, it was with your former domain, as I vaguely remember discussions about you moving domain. You give so much to your readers, with likes and thoughtful comments. May Damyanti Writes post for many more years! 🙂

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

You’re right, Simon, we connected in 2014. I remember one of your first comments was on my post about the lost Malaysian plane, MH370, which still remains an unsolved mystery.

Thanks for your kind words. I merely follow the example other bloggers set me– this is a very open and friendly community. Thanks for being part of it, and for your contribution to the WATWB.

  • Widdershins says:

    Happy 10th Blog-O-Versary! 😀

  • cleemckenzie says:

I can’t remember the first time I visited your section of the blogOsphere, but it has been some time ago. A huge congratulations on your decade of great blogging. It’s always a pleasure to stop by and see what you’re posting. Here’s to your next decade.

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

We met way back in 2011, when I still ran Amlokiblogs, my blog on Blogspot. (The posts are all added on to this site now)

Thanks for your kind words–you have supported me through dozens of blogfests, and I’ve loved reading your work. Wishing you all the best for 2018, Lee, and may your books keep climbing the charts!

  • hilarymb says:

Bother – I wrote a long comment … and it’s bombed me out!

Anyways … it’s always great to be here … I’ve loved the #WATWB … and congratulations on 10 years, I’ll be up to 9 on Saturday this week. You always offer interesting looks at blogging and life – that I enjoy … so I’ll be around looking, reading and commenting as long as I can.

I’m sure we met via the Challenge – it brings loads of us together …and in particular I miss Tina – she was inspirational – but it’s amazing to have so many great resources within this group … we support and help each other as best we can …

Have a very good 2018 and I do look forward to being around a while longer … take care and all the very best – Hilary

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

We met during the 2013 AZ challenge, and I’ve loved your posts and your comments ever since, Hilary. Can’t wait for all the photos you’re going to post from your new surroundings!

  • Dan Antion says:

Congratulations on making it 10 years, Damyanti. I don’t know when I first started following you, I’ve had to stop and start several times when WordPress stopped sending me updates. But I do remember that it was during the A-to-Z Challenge in 2014 that I can to truly appreciate your ability as a writer.

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

We first spoke in 2013, Dan, and I’ve cherished your visits and comments ever since.

I’m stunned that you remember my stories 3 years later. Thankyou for your support through the last 4 years.

      • Dan Antion says:

That makes sense, Damyanti, since I was following you before the A-to-Z challenge started. You were one of the first writers who encouraged me. I will never forget that!

  • Congratulations, first of all. Ten years is no small feat.
I stumbled upon your blog by accident but discovering your blog was no accident. May I say it was serendipity? I will admit the unexpected meeting of your virtual words but reading the posts and pondering upon them was all by choice. In addition to your words that drew me to your blog, it was also you. Your name itself- I once had a much adored Chemistry teacher in school who had the same name as yours, and I haven’t met anyone else who shared that name.. Naturally to me, the name itself relates to the kind of reassurance and comfort in knowing you can go back to a place and feel welcome once more. Your blog was no different. At times I’ve been too busy to frequent visits to wordpress, but whenever I did- be it 3 am between my second and third cups of coffee for the night, or at 5 am just before sunrise, or at the peak of day.. your posts remained on my news feed, a silent reminder of words to read. Your blog, in short, has been a constant in an ever-changing world. Maybe you’ve heard this many times, or maybe you haven’t .. but all I’m trying to say is Thank You. For sharing your words with the world, and by that way- sharing a window to your soul with me. Seven years on wordpress, and your blog is one of my favorite. A place I know I can include when I count the reasons why wordpress sometimes feels like home.

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

Thanks for such a long, beautiful, and thoughtful comment.

From what I can remember, this is your first comment here–so thanks for letting me know that you like this blog, and that you have been a subscriber.

It is incredibly moving for me to realise that my words are read, and that they remain with others. And I hope I’m a fraction of the safe space that my namesake your chemistry teacher was.

I consider Daily (w)rite my safe space, too– people have been kind to me throughout the decade–I’ve never been trolled, and have always had very friendly conversations. I hope to have more chats with you as well in the coming year.

Thanks once again for your kind words, and wishing you all that is good for 2018.

  • ccyager says:

Congratulations on 10 years, Damyanti! What an achievement. I just passed my 10 year anniversary last September and it really made me stop and think about what I’d accomplished by writing a blog. Thank you for being a loyal reader of Anatomy of Perceval and leaving comments for me there. I cannot remember when I first found your blog or how long I’ve been following you, which means it’s been a while! I look forward to much more good reading here, too. Keep up the good work, whenever you can slip it in! Cinda

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

Congratulations to you, too, Cinda! We found each other during the 2014 AZ challenge, and have been exchanging comments here and on other social media ever since.

Thankyou for your kind words and the good cheer you always bring through your comments. Hope 2018 works out for your writing, your health, and your work. Sending much love.

      • ccyager says:

I think of you often and sincerely hope that 2018 brings you excellent health so you don’t have that weighing on your mind and heart.

  • I forget how I found you but you introduced me to A to Z Challenge so it must have been 2016. I started A to Z last year. You so inspired me with your series! I don’t think you want to change anything about your blog. Your window on the world is valuable.

    • Damyanti Biswas says:

We know each other since 2012, Jacqui, from when you first commented on one of posts, and then I discovered your wonderful blog!

Am so glad the A to Z posts made an impression– thanks for your support down the years, and for your kind words here.

  • Congratulations, Damyanti on ten years of blogging! It’s been several years since we’ve met and I can’t say where, probably during a blog meet and great. I’ve been blogging for almost six years and funny, it feels as if I’ve been blogging for ten years. I don’t know what that means, only that I’ve been working hard at it. I haven’t done anything for my blog anniversaries except kept my nose to the grindstone. Hopefully, I will become as successful at it as you are!

Thank you! I found your blog in 2015, and we have exchanged comments since then.

You have a wonderful blog, so all the hard work has paid off. I’ve often taken hiatuses from this blog, and there have been years I have posted less than I’d have liked to–I’ve learned to forgive myself.

Blogging is a passion, so it doesn’t always feel like work. On days it does, I simply run away and read a book:)

Thanks for your support, and wish you all the best for 2018.

  • Congratulations on ten years!
I’m not sure how we met. During the Challenge? I know we were friends when we were Challenge co-hosts, and that was many years ago. I continue to visit because we are friends and you provide a fresh outlook on writing and the world.
2019 will be ten years for me.
And I still think about Tina.

We met in AZ 2011, Alex.

There’s a reason you’re such a successful blogger and writer: you care, and you comment so regularly on the blogs you visit. I don’t think you’ve missed commenting on many of my posts. I may have missed combenting on your posts, but I read all of them. You know everything that’s going on in the Blogspot world!

Thankyou for being such a good friend, and wishing you much bigger success ahead.

I think of Tina whenever I blog. I Skyped with her often, and was to visit the US that year, and see her. I haven’t made an effort ever to travel to the US since she passed on.

Losing her was so hard, and it brought home to me just how much we can come to care about someone we’ve never met.
