Where are you at, this Wednesday? #WednesdayWisdom

blogging troubles

The dynamic duo Natasha and Esha host the #WordlessWednesday list –-and I’m joining in today for two reasons: one, blogging hasn’t been easy lately, and a Wordless post should be easier, right? Two, I’d rather be wordless these days: words need energy, and I have none.

Recovery from the slump has been slow.

All I want to do is sit in the shade with a book, and let the world pass me by. I’m thinking of seats like this:

blogging troubles

What Wednesday bloghops do you host/ participate in? What have you read recently? What is your advice for someone going through an energy slump? How has blogging been for you lately? What has your week been Wordless Wednesdaylike?

This is lovely. I will join you there. Words do take a lot of energy, especially when they won’t come.

  • Oh this is beautiful. I get what you mean about words taking energy. ♥

The best remedy for me is to take a day off. Maybe it’s a week notice, maybe it’s a couple of days, but I plan it. I let my heart strings lead me and everything that feels like a responsibility is no longer a priority for that morning. Yoga helps too. It’s the mind and body connection and relinking the two. Power and confidence. These are the two things I think we must remember to breathe back into ourselves 🙂 I love the idea of your humanity blog hop!

  • great post

  • Sometimes a slump is a time of gestation. 🙂

All of us go through slumps once in a while for a reason. If we are wise and learn from those slumps, we will come out the other side new and improved. Truthfully it’s been a real struggle for me to do much of anything besides sitting and reading a good book. Yet here I am trying ….. ?

  • Looks lovely, I’ll stay with my wicker chair out on the deck though. 🙂

  • Energy slumps just have to be lived through. Read a good book — maybe one you’ve read before — and eventually things will change. When you’re in the middle of a slump, sometimes it feels it will never end. But it does.

Hi Damyanti – arbours of delight … I’d love to sit there with a book and do it often … enjoy what peace you can get and ease into more … take care – cheers Hilary

That looks like a very delightful place to sit and read!

  • Asha Seth says:

I can imagine myself sitting there and reading for days all together.

  • That looks like a relaxing place to sit.

  • I too have been relying on the words of others for blog posts lately–a little zapped of energy here too. But I try to think of it as a positive, sharing other writers with my followers. As far as reading, I’m reading a book I was so sure I’d love, _Ohio_ by Stephen Markley. It’s gotten a lot of buzz and since I’m from Ohio (U.S.), I was excited. But now I just feel deflated because I just can’t get into it. Like a first date you think is going to be wonderful–but it just stinks!

It looks, to use an old-fashioned word, delightful. I hope your slump proves to be a space in which to gather ideas and energy. 🙂
