For the last 12 years, I’ve been associated with Project Why one way or another.
I’ve kept it quiet as a blogger, other than a series of posts I did a few years ago, but recently I have ramped up my voice about this little nonprofit: they do excellent work and are currentlystruggling for funds. (If you know of an individual or organization looking to donate to a good cause–guide them to Project WHY!)

Each of these seven posts talks about a different aspect of the Project WHY story. They give a wonderful glimpse into the small good things they do despite all odds.
Once I started speaking about Project WHY, a band of excellent bloggers have helped amplify that voice, whether it is by helping with the Sewing Circle fundraiser, or the current fundraiser to help keep the Project WHY school in Okhla open. (If you want to chip in, click here).

Hugely grateful to all the bloggers who have written about the Project Why #HelpMithuSaveSchool Fundraiser. The fundraiser is still ongoing, and we would love for more people to come together and give just a little to let these wonderful kids and teachers keep their school.
For now, we need another lakh (1500 USD) to reach the fundraiser target.

This is such a wonderful organization and you’re doing a fantastic job with the promotion of it, Damyanti! Although I didn’t participate in the linkup, I have been sharing and donating when possible. Here’s hoping the financial goal will be reached.

Hi Debbie, I come from a very modest, middle-class family, and do not know people who are wealthy enough to afford Project WHY. I do hope, though, that Project WHY can get the help it deserves–we just need a 100 people like you and me who would chip in just a little, and we will be home with this one. 🙂
That said, any wealthy philanthropists who are reading this are very, very welcome to come in and help us.
Since I’m only blogging once a month, I’ve put some FB posts and Tweets out, and I’ll do more this week. I’m hoping this project finds the funds they need to continue.
