The A to Z Blogging Challenge : Theme Reveal

By 15/03/2022April 5th, 2022Featured, guest post
Are you participating in A to Z this year? Are you doing a Theme Reveal? Do you read crime novels, mysteries, or psychological thrillers?

April will be here soon, and I’m going to make life difficult for myself –ala the A to Z Blogging Challenge, and this post is a Theme Reveal (a process that started with bloggers on March 7, 2022)–declaring my intention to blog on a particular theme for the month for April.

It has been years since I participated in this blogging challenge, after a few years of hosting it in its initial years. In earlier years in April, I’ve done flash fiction challenges, quotes, posts about the non-profit I love, Project WHY.

Life has changed for me since those initial years, and with the publication of my first literary crime novel YOU BENEATH YOUR SKIN, changing agents to find Lucienne Diver from the Knight Agency, and signing up with Thomas and Mercer for my first ever trad publication in the USA, for my second literary thriller THE BLUE BAR–blogging has receded a little.

Since I’ve let Daily (w)rite languish, it is only fair that I make an attempt to revive it–my blog is a teenager now, and needs me to be present, more than ever. Since the later part of the year might be unpredictable with the release of THE BLUE BAR, I’m hoping to get a headstart.

This year, I’m planning to merge my two lives–my blog and my career in crime novels.

For April, I’ll write 26 posts on crime thrillers, mysteries and psychological thrillers that I’ve read and loved in the past years.

Each post will introduce a book, speak a little about its author and tell you why you should pick up (or not) a novel title. I will work my way through the alphabet: writing about 26 books on 26 days.

Crime novels can slice through the skin of modern society and uncover the reality beneath–and hopefully, in some ways, affect change in the status quo while engaging and entertaining their readers. For each book I pick, I’m painfully aware that I’ll have to miss more than a few, and wherever possible, I’ll try and include them.
