The A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2013ย ย is off to a roaring start! Are you guys keeping up? I’m co-hosting it on Amlokiblogs, so drop me a comment there if you have something to say about the challenge itself. On this blog, I’ll be featuring (mostly) indie-published book excerpts for all of April. I love reading, and supporting author-friends, and this is a good way to do both.
Today, for C, I give you a space opera: CassaFire by Alex J Cavanaugh.
This is the third book in a series. His first book wasย CassaStar,ย and the sequel,ย CassaFire —ย both books are Amazon bestsellers, published by Dancing Lemur Press.
The third in the series, CassaStorm, will be released on September 17, 2013.
Elevator Pitch: A fun filled space opera of romance and adventure, CassaFire harkens back to its 80s influences like Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers in the 20th Century, and Star Wars. Family friendly and sure to please fans of classic space opera in the Golden Age Style.ย
Excerpt:
Athee tossed her hair aside and eyed him expectantly. โI thought Iโd ride in the cockpit with you.โ
โThatโs probably not a good idea.โ
โWhy not?โ
โThatโs the co-pilotโs seat.โ
โDo you have a co-pilot?โ
โWell, noโฆโ
โThen this seat is open.โ
Byron sighed in exasperation. Releasing her seat, he ran his fingers through his hair. This woman is too stubborn for her own good, he thought.

Cool, thanks for all the book reviews! I hope it wouldn’t be toooo cruel to point out that these here aren’t actually Amazon Best Sellers (I mean, they have an “Amazon Bestsellers Rank”, but so does every single book on Amazon; these may be very good, but they aren’t bestsellers yet!).
This is not a book I would have picked up but after your review……. I’m IN!! I love an action packed book with sarcasm and romance!!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I can barely handle one blog …. .two is impressive!
