A quick one today about a giveaway, since I’m still working on the edits for the sequel to THE BLUE BAR.
I’ve entered many giveaways as a reader, but ever since the publication of YOU BENEATH YOUR SKIN, I’ve been at the other end: I now organize giveaways.
Not only do I give away books via my Reading Gazette (subscribe now if you haven’t), I also hold a giveaway or two on my social media from time to time. This week, in celebration of my birthday and Diwali, I’ve collaborated with an author friend, Priyanka Taslim, for a double ARC giveaway!
Her romance novel THE LOVE MATCH and my literary crime with romance elements, THE BLUE BAR, both feature South Asian representation.

I generally enter the giveaways for books that teach me the skills I’m looking to learn. Otherwise books languish in my TBR file!

Lol! I’ve learned that a freebie isn’t going to do me any good if I don’t use it! I use this thought process for any giveaways, thinking if I actually won it, would I use it or would things be better off if I left it for someone else to enjoy!
I have to admit I’ve never entered a book give away, so I don’t know. I read a lot, but I usually carry a large TBR so I get more books as the TBR clears out and I don’t mind paying.
That’s wonderful! My TBR seems to be never-ending. Sigh!

I enter Goodreads giveaways and some of the very-low-energy ones that say ‘leave a comment and be entered in our giveaway’. I get lots of books from NetGalley, too. I am probably not your usually giveaway-entrant!
