While I’m still on the fence about reviewing books by fellow authors, I have no hesitation at all in giving them coverage on my blog. Annalisa Crawford has been a good blog-friend and a regular commenter on this blog– it gives me great pleasure to help with her cover reveal for her upcoming release “Our Beautiful Child“, published by Battered Suitcase Press on the 10th
June 2014.
I found this book’s premise exciting, and of course, am going to download it the moment it is available– and who knows even gift it to a blog-friend– as part of my Support Fellow Authors program (Once a month, I buy books by fellow authors, and gift them to readers who I think might enjoy them. It is not about reviews, or pressure– just the plain and simple pleasure of gifting books to friends while doing my tiny bit for the community.)
On May 16th, I gave away 3 Author-friends’ books I liked, to other blog friends, besides gifting 2 books by the author I featured. The next gift-session is on the 20th June, and I’m hoping to include Annalisa’s book, Our Beautiful Child for that one!
Here’s more about her book:

either staring at the table in front of them, or at some distant point on the
horizon.β

THE AUTHOR:
with a good supply of beaches and moorland right on my doorstep to keep me
inspired. I live with my husband, two sons, a dog and a cat.
I neither surf nor sail, and have never had any inclination to try. I much
prefer walking along a deserted beach and listening to the waves crashing over
rocks. For this reason, I really love the beach in the winter!

Hey Damyanti,
Just getting out and about…my visiting has been atrocious. My writing has been even worse, but is now picking back up…getting back into the swing of things. My grief beard is goneβclean shaven again! I'm so excited for Annalisa. And what a beautiful cover.
See you around. π

Hello Damyanti and I apologise for my recent absence. I am presently up to my neck in the final edit of my new thriller, 'Amsterdam Calling'. I've also started putting the finishing touches to a collection of erotic short stories.
I love the gift idea you've got going and I hope to do something similar when I start to publish with Smashwords again. You are a credit to the writing (and reading) community my friend.
I think that gifting thing you've got going is a great idea. I've done a bit of that myself, but not on a structured basis. And wishing Annalisa Crawford loads of success!
Glad to have found your site. Keep up the good work! DB Product Review
How can I get that gift. ..!!
Great post! Thanks for sharing!
Okay, no vague comment from me. Hey Damyanti, how jolly good of you to feature the lovable Annalisa on your adorable site. Your support and the gift giving are such kind, caring attributes. Take care and yay to Annalisa.

All the best
Interesting location for a story to unfold.
It is, right?
I like your book giveaway idea and that works just as well as reviewing. the little blurb of the story sounds interesting and I like the setting too.
Thanks, Michelle. Totally agree about the story and the setting. π
It sounds like an interesting book.

Thanks, Ananya, check out the book once it's out π
I dropped by to say hello! I have been absent from blogging for a while, and I did miss your posts. Itβs good to be back. Annalisa – Good luck!
Hey, welcome back! I hope to read more on your blog soon!
You're a generous author, Damyanti. What a wonderful way to share your love of books.
I just love books, and want everyone to read them and think them indispensable, the way I do. π This is my insidious plan for world domination, Lee π
Question–if you download a book, how do you gift it to someone after you're finished reading it? I download them to my Kindle. Is there a way I can give them to someone? I know with some books you can loan them for 2 weeks or whatever, but it sounds like you pass them on.
I buy a copy for me to read, and another which I gift using the 'Gift this Item' feature.
This is why I'm currently doing it once a month, because last month I ran up about 25 dollars in gifting 5 books…I'll give more away as I earn more myself :).
I'm excited for Annalisa.
Me too!
This is of course a very nice thing to do. Tweeted!
Hugs and chocolate!
Thanks for the tweet, Shelly!
And it looks awesome!
It does, doesn't it?
Giving books away to support author friends is such a wonderful way to pay it forward… and yes, I love the premise of Annalisa's book. Very intriguing.
Yep, I want Annalisa's book too. Can't wait for it to be out.
Thank you so much for sharing my cover here today.
I love the idea of your Support Fellow Authors – gifting books is a great way to do that. I sometimes tell friends about books I've read by blog friends, and watch their blank faces because the names are unknown to them (even though I consider them really famous, because everyone in blogland knows who they are!) Gifting these books is a really cool idea.
Annalisa, you're very welcome π
I'm trying to do my bit to extend support, since I don't review friends' books. It is hard to be honest and unbiased when I'm reviewing a friend, and I think I'm too emotional and immature to do it right. Don't want to be unfair to my readers either. Hence the passing on of books I like.
