An Early End to 2020. See You in 2021.

Happy New Year

I’ve decided I’ve had quite enough of 2020, so I’m shutting down my social media and Daily (w)rite for this year.

I’m hoping to rest and recharge this December: focus on writing for the sake of writing, and not to finish anything at all. On reading, lots of reading. Each year, I take the last week off to read and do nothing else–this year I’ve decided to do that early. I’ll focus within, and let the world do its thing without me to witness it.

More nature, more walks, workouts, more music, more cooking, no screens–unless I need the laptop to write. The phone, switched off.

May the year end better than it began. May 2021 be a change for the better. Take care of you, stay safe. I wish you all peace and joy, and the rejuvenation to tackle any challenges the new year may bring. If you’re looking for holiday gifts, here’s a thread with links to books from my writing friends.

I’ll see you again in 2021.

What are you planning for the year end? What plans do you have for reading, writing, switching off? What plans for the new year? What books by your writing friends do you recommend? Link me to books you think I need to read.

Are you part of nay online or offline book groups? Founded any? What is the experience like? Do you think online book groups are similar to those offline? My debut literary crime novel,”You Beneath Your Skin,” published by the fab team at Simon and Schuster IN is optioned to be a TV series by Endemol Shine.

It is available in India here.

Worldwide, here.

Reviews are appreciated–please get in touch if you’d like a review copy.
